FOR YOUR SAFETY
All individuals entering the air show through the admission gate are subject to search. Please come early, pay careful attention to all signs and announcements, and be patient. These procedures are in place to ensure the safety of those attending the air show.

 GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Where may I call to get information about the air show?

  • Do I need hearing protection?

Hearing protection may be a good choice for young children or anyone sensitive to loud noise.  Guests may bring their own hearing protection and ear plugs will be also be available for purchase.

  • Can I use my credit card for admission and purchases at the air show?

Yes and ATM machines will also be available.

  • What if I leave the show for any reason?

Guests may leave and re-enter as long as they receive a hand stamp on exiting.  No reentry will be allowed without a hand stamp.  No reentry is permitted after 3:30 PM.

  • Are outside drinks such as water in a CamelBak allowed?

Outside drinks are not allowed.  Beverages are sold in many locations at the show.  Water and a variety of other drinks are available for sale at concessions.  Free water is available in the First aid stations and from a water buffalo.  The sale of water is the primary source of funding for the support of our charities. 

  • Are personal cameras or binoculars allowed?

Yes, lens and equipment rentals may be available as well.  Watch for details.

  • Do any of the performers offer rides in the planes?

We do anticipate rides in some aircraft to be available.

  • Will you be providing the specific times for the main performers?

As the schedule is finalized it will be posted on the website.

  • Can I bring a backpack into the air show?

Any bags are subject to search at the admissions gates.

  • I’m a photographer. Can I bring my camera bag to the air show?

Yes, also subject to search.

  • Can I come after lunch or do you have to come in the morning and stay the whole day?

Guests may arrive any time after 9:00am until 3:00pm, the show ends at 5:00pm.

  • Can I walk in or out of the air show on foot?

Yes

  • Can I bring a chair and/or cushion?

Chairs are not recommended, cushions are easier to manage.

  • Can I bring a baby stroller?

Yes

  • Will Porta-Johns be available?

A large number of them are available and they are cleaned and supplied throughout the day.

  • Are diaper bags allowed for infants, age 3 and under?

Yes, subject to search for safety reasons

  • Can I bring an umbrella?

Small umbrellas are acceptable in the open areas, not under shade or tents please.

  • What is the actual time for each performer?

A schedule will be posted, however it is estimated as closely as possible

  • Is smoking permitted?

Only in designated areas, look for signs and please keep our grounds clean by proper disposal – not on the ground.

  • What are the dates of the Lynchburg Regional Airshow?

May 25 and 26 2013, the same show both days. 

  • What time is the air show?

Gates open at 9:00am, close at 3:00pm and show ends at 5:00pm

  • What is the cost of admission to the air show?

General admission is $15 purchased in advance; see the ticket web page for other options such as VIP Tickets and Children’s tickets.

  • What if it rains?

The show is a rain or shine show.  Some performances may be altered if the weather is extreme.  Often rains storms pass quickly and the event can continue without a long interruption.

ALL CARRY-IN ITEMS AND PERSONS ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH.

ALL UNATTENDED BAGS AND ITEMS WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES.

CAMERAS MAY BE USED TO MONITOR THE FACILITY.

GATES OPEN AT 9:00 A.M. NO ENTRY/RE-ENTRY AFTER 3:00 P.M.

THE FOLLOWING RESTRICTIONS APPLY:

  • No Coolers
  • No Loose Ice
  • No Cans
  • No Glass
  • No Alcohol
  • No Pets
  • No Weapons Of Any Kind
  • No Tents
  • No Awnings
  • No Cooking Equipment

FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE:

For all guests comfort it is recommended that Air Show patrons bring only necessary items on their person and limit the size and contents of carry-in items to those that are essential. Air Show concession stands feature a wide variety of food and beverage options for your enjoyment and convenience.
