John Smoot

Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Lynchburg Regional Airshow, Inc.

John has over 20 years experience in Management, Finance, and Information Technology and currently is a Manager in Finance with Centra Health in Lynchburg.  He was inspired by the 1982 Blue Angels visit to Lynchburg and completed his first solo flight a year later.  John is currently a student pilot, working to get current after a 30 year break from flying.  In his role with Lynchburg Regional Airshow, John is responsible for Finance/Budgeting, Admissions/Ticketing, Procurement/Contracts, Insurance, Concessions, and assists with Marketing and the Website.  John enjoys the privilege of being able to help others and contribute back to the community through air show proceeds.  He has two children, Jamie 12, and Jayson 8 who are huge Blue Angel Fans. He is a member of the EAA, AOPA, and the International Council of Airshows.
